Mental Health Awareness is part of a suite of training courses by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England, which teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue – this 4 hour, half day course is an introductory session to raise awareness of Mental Health.
Course Objective
Upon successful completion of the training program, you will have:
An understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma
A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing
Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue
A theory based course over 4 hours, typically completed in a Morning of Afternoon session and all those attending will receive a nationally recognised certificate.
Each candidate will receive a copy of a ‘Adult MHFA Awareness’ colour reference manual and a ‘Adult MHFA Awareness Workbook’ which are a clear, concise and valuable review tool for future reference.
